My name is Joe Floyd AKA Joeshrimper, I was born in 1955 in Mayport, Florida—a place where fishing isn’t just a way of life, it’s part of the culture. I grew up in a hardworking fishing family, with my father serving as a shrimp boat captain. From an early age, I was on the water, learning the ropes and gaining a deep respect for the industry that shaped me.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats in the seafood and maritime world. I started in retail seafood markets, later becoming a rigging specialist with a focus on building commercial shrimp trawls. Eventually, I owned and operated a seafood packing house, managing everything from catch to distribution.

As time went on, my focus shifted toward sports net design—a field where I could combine decades of experience in rigging, net construction, and practical problem-solving. Today, I use the skills I’ve honed over a lifetime to offer custom sports net solutions, net repair, and rigging services for clients who need durable, high-performance results.
